VSSS

VIVEKANANDA SWASTHYA SEVA SANGHA (VSSS) is a registered voluntary organization looking after the primary health care of the rural downtrodden in a cluster of 77 villages spreading over seven districts of West Bengal. The activities of VSSS cover 1.10 lakhs rural population comprising of Hindu, Muslim, and Tribal communities. Though the organization's activities began explicitly targeted towards primary healthcare programme, it has been implementing an integrated development approach for long. The organization realized the need of integrating education and socio-economic programmes with healthcare for true upliftment of the villages and to make them self-reliant.

Our activities are financed by fund raised from membership subscriptions, public donations, donations from corporates and societies, while some funds are even raised by door-to-door visits by the volunteers in the villages and cities. Finance for capital intensive projects like, Mobile HealthCare Unit, are sponsored by Corporates under Corporates Social Responsibility.

Below are a few slides from our Foundation Day 2011 presentation to help you appreciate the services of the organization and to find a little help from you for the cause of the down-trodden.
